Behind the label: Certifications

You may have already read it: at Memento Terra , we work with 100% organic cotton .
But we're not asking you to take it at face value.

We show you the proof .

🔐 Why certifications?

Because "organic" on its own is vague.
Because greenwashing exists.
And because we prefer transparency to trend .

This is why all our clothes are GOTS, OEKO-TEX, OCS certified —
and GRS when there are recycled fibers.

GOTS – Global Organic Textile Standard

The world's most demanding standard for organic textiles.
It guarantees that your garment is truly organic , from the field to the finished product.
But also that the manufacturing conditions are ethical :
No forced labor. No child labor.
No bullshit.

OEKO-TEX Standard 100

Here we talk about health .
No harmful substances, no chemical disruptors, no weird residues.
A fabric you can wear next to your skin — and even give to a baby.

OCS – Organic Content Standard

OCS verifies that the percentage of organic cotton is real .
No vague promises, no “partially organic” cotton.
Just concrete.
When we say 100%, it's 100%.

GRS – Global Recycled Standard

For our pieces containing recycled polyester , such as certain bags or sweatshirts.
GRS certifies the traceability, quality and integrity of recycled materials.
No new plastic in disguise.
No shortcuts.

♻️ What does that change?

A certified garment is a garment that:

  • did not ruin soils to exist

  • was not sewn by underpaid hands

  • don't leave toxins on your skin

  • does not lie on its label

🖤 At Memento Terra , we believe that true class doesn't leave a toxic trail.

Our visuals are disturbing. Our messages are engaging.
But our production?
It's clean. Traceable. Credible.
